Welcome! I'm so glad you're here! My name is Josee. I'm a wife, a mom to two wonderful boys and a woman trying to hone her innate desire to create something beautiful and turn it into a business. My love for calligraphy blossomed when I was a teenager. Somehow I had gotten the idea that I wanted to write calligraphy and my mom responded to my pleas by purchasing a calligraphy kit so I could get started. There was a lapse in time where I didn't practice calligraphy and even forgot I once loved it. Now, many years later I'm back at it and enjoying it more than ever!
I love calligraphy. I love the elegance of it but most of all I love to write it. Calligraphy is simply defined as "beautiful handwriting". To me, there is nothing more relaxing and soothing than sitting at my desk, with my favorite music playing, a cup of hot tea and my nibs and ink. I love to think that thousands of years ago, people were doing the same!
I believe life happens in the details. Calligraphy - whether it be an exquisite hand-addressed envelope, a beautiful prayer or a place card with someone's name - leaves an impression and lifts up the soul. It elevates the written word into a work of art.
